Fall weather encourages the smells of homemade soup on the stove, and vibrant colors of orange, yellow and red scattered about by the trees.
The change in weather assures me that Thanksgiving and Christmas are soon to come. In a few days, many will celebrate Halloween, instead I choose to express my gratitude to children for the joy they share with me when they come to my front door.
Each of their Paper Lunch Sacks will contain two Dole Fruit bowl snacks and one fruit punch PLUS one shiny penny. I also included a note to highlight that above President Lincoln’s head, if they look closely they will find the phrase “In God we trust”.
It is there to remind us that all great things come from God above.
